Are you concerned about meeting the National Security Presidential Memorandum 33 (NSPM-33) cybersecurity requirements?

Any institution conducting more than $50 million in federally funded science and technology research annually must implement a comprehensive research security program, as required by National Security Presidential Memorandum 33 (NSPM-33).

While a research security program covers many areas, including travel and information disclosure, there are also minimum cybersecurity requirements that institutions must meet in order to be compliant.

With CampusCISO, you can quickly and easily review how your current cybersecurity capabilities support the requirements without completing a whole new assessment!

The National Science and Technology Council’s guidance about how to implement the cybersecurity portion of NSPM-33 is now available on CampusCISO. If you’re a premium subscriber (CampusCISO Essential or CampusCISO Advanced), we already made this new report available to you.

To find the “Compliance Analysis Report,” simply go to the “CYBER HEAT MAP” tab in the Reports menu.

After accessing the compliance analysis report, you have the option to display NSPM-33 data only or a roll-up report that summarizes NSPM-33, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and NIST 800-171 requirements.

If your institution is following NIST 800-171, you’ll see that a lot of the requirements for NSPM-33 overlap with work you’ve already completed.
